A Napa Valley Icon Reimagined
Calistoga’s Historic, Reimagined Six-Room Property Brings a Modern Twist to Intimate Victorian Elegance
A captivating reflection of a bygone era in Napa Valley history, Brannan Cottage Inn announces its grand reopening on October 1, 2014 as the region’s newest intimate luxury inn. The reimagined six-room property is an iconic destination in the Napa Valley lodging community, combining its authentic history and storied past with the latest in modern technologies, green practices and luxury amenities. Situated just minutes from the heart of downtown Calistoga, Brannan Cottage Inn is currently offering introductory preview rates leading up to its official debut this fall.
Built in 1860, Brannan Cottage Inn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Of the 14 original cottages as part of the first built by the town’s Founder Samuel Brannan, Brannan Cottage Inn is the only property to remain in its original location, and the only remaining example of the cottage’s original architectural style. After seven months of extensive restoration and modernization led by new owner Amar Patel, the Inn opens its doors to locals and visitors alike as a true mark of Napa Valley history.
“We are honored for the opportunity to restore this significant piece of Calistoga history, preserving the past while updating it with the amenities of today’s hospitality market,” said Patel. “As hoteliers, our ownership is predicated on what’s next for Napa Valley travelers. Brannan Cottage Inn welcomes sophisticated guests who are not only seeking an authentic, deeply rooted destination, but looking to enjoy the technological advances we rely on, as well as the comforts and conveniences of home in an environmentally responsible way.”
The 1860s Italianate Victorian architecture of the original Brannan Cottage has been preserved to convey a feeling of civilization and leisure, just as you’d see in the early, rugged days of Calistoga’s history, while the latest modernizations have been added to enhance the guest experience. The Victorian structure of Brannan Cottage Inn remains nearly intact, with its gabled roofs, a wide wrap-around porch and arch-enclosed entryways that echo the country setting and Western frontier feel created by Samuel Brannan.
During the restoration, the Cottage was brought up to modern energy-efficiency levels, and all materials used were sourced at the top of the market for the highest quality of energy conservation. Each guest room is outfitted with its own unique color scheme and furnishings, and luxury amenities include an in-room illy® Espresso machine, complimentary Wi-Fi, and 48-inch flat-panel TV with complimentary DISH Network DVR, HBO, Showtime, STARZ, Netflix and Amazon Instant Video. Guests are even encouraged to visit the Inn’s exclusive e-concierge mobile app, a cutting-edge platform offered through Hotelcloud, which allows guests to plan, schedule and book seasonal, by-appointment-only experiences directly with preferred partners prior to their arrival.
“The Inn’s infrastructure has been completely redesigned to support the continual evolution of technology in the coming years, allowing Brannan Cottage Inn to be a thing of beauty that can be enjoyed by future generations,” said Patel. “We are proud of the advancements we have made and pride ourselves on providing the highest level of personalized customer service to every guest who comes to stay with us.”
Brannan Cottage Inn’s preferred partners on the e-concierge mobile app include some of the most authentic and exhilarating food, wine, spa, art, tour and active experiences in Napa Valley. Curated itineraries emphasize a sense of discovery through high-quality small winery producers and intimate tour experiences highlight hidden treasures, spectacular scenery and warm hospitality found in Napa Valley’s best-kept secrets. Exclusive offerings available to guests at Brannan Cottage Inn currently include private tastings and wine education experiences at HALL Wines, Jericho Canyon Vineyard, VGS Chateau Potelle, Domaine SOMM Events, and the WH Smith Wine Sensory Experience. Guests can also book a guided tour of artist Carlo Marchiori’s fanciful home Villa CA’ TOGA, enjoy custom luxury transportation by Beau Wine Tours, or a self-guided Cool Wine bike tour through Calistoga Bikeshop.
Beginning in summer 2015, the entire Brannan Cottage Inn property will be available on an exclusive basis for on-site private events and weddings for groups up to 40. The Inn’s lush gardens are the ideal outdoor setting for small groups, with the six distinctive rooms available for executives or VIP guests.
Brannan Cottage Inn is currently offering an introductory preview rate with accommodations available at a 20% reduced rate through September 15, 2014, with a grand reopening date of October 1, 2014. Room rates start at $300 per night with six queen and king accommodations, including the Deluxe King Suite.
